Great desk, but poor packaging... : South Shore Work ID Collection Laptop Desk, Pure White

I bought this as a "table" for my sewing room even though it is sold as a desk. It works great as a cutting table and looks nice in my sewing room. I wouldn't put whatever too heavy on it but it does fit nicely in a small space. However, like many other reviewers stated, it did come damaged. The desk top corners were damaged from the shipping. I would think with all the complaints, they would find a best way to container this delicate desk. I have had desks shipped before without damage. Just poor packaging. I would buy it again but if you want something that looks excellent (Like I said, this is for cutting patterns and material out so I am not too worried about its looks), I would propose buying at your local store and recognize it before taking it home.
