Great desk : South Shore Furniture, Gascony Collection, Desk, Ebony and Spice wood

I've had this desk for about a month and so far I'm satisfied. I like the design. It's spacious, it looks nice, and the drawers are convenient. However, there were a few problems. First of all, it's kind of a hassle to build it. The instructions ask you to do multiple things in each step, and it's easy to miss stuff. The other complaint I have is that the wood is very flimsy and cheap. When we put in the screws it sounded like the wood was going to disintegrate! It chips very easily...mine had a few chips even before we took it out of the package! I guess that is why they consist of diminutive paint bottles in the package...but extensive these flaws are not so noticeable. Once it is built, it is sturdy adequate that I can drop textbooks on it and place my Hd monitor on it without fear. I recommend this desk to anyone who is just adequate to keep it in one piece.
